The patient came to the
clinic 17-March-2009 complaining of numbness
ulnar division both hands for 2 years more the
left. |

MRI cervical spine performed
23-October-2007 showing huge PCD C5-6 with
malacia of the spinal cord. |
 |
On examination: there is weak
grip both hands and extension right hand 4/5 and
extension left hand and both triceps muscles
3/5. There is limitation with pain during
turning the head to the left and up and
downflexion. |

The patient was sent for MRI
cervical spine which was performed 23-March-2009
showing the same finding and PCD C4-5. |

The patient is a known
diabetic with hyperlipedimea. |
 |
Discectomy of C4-5 and
meticulous cleaning of C5-6 with osteophytectomy
of C5-6 was performed. Using miniplate and
screws the C4-5-6 were fused. |
 |
Smooth postoperative
recovery with prompt recovery of the power of
both upper limbs. |
