The patient came to the clinic 30-January-2006 complaining of left sciatica
with LBP for 15 days with positive cough sign. MRI lumbar spine
performed 04-December-2004 showed huge extruded disc L4-5 with left
downward migration. On examination: he had scoliotic stance with
weak dorsiflexion left foot. Left L4-5 hemiflavotomy was done with
foraminotomy of left L5 root was achieved and removal of the
extrusion and cleaning of the disc space was performed and the
epidural fate was transferred to cover the running exposed root.
Comments:
1. The nearest fat to the epidural fat, the best for transferring.
Using the epidural fat shifted by compression is the best material
material is used to cover the root at the axilla to minimize the
scar formation. |
