video start to load. It depends upon the internet
connection.
Anamnesis:
The patient came to the
clinic 27-July-2009 complaining of recurrence of
torticollis for the last 2 months, but
with involvement of the left sternocleidomastoid
muscle. He was operated by me for the
torticollis of the right sternocleidomastoid
muscle 05-June-2005
with dramatic improvement.
Under G.A. the left SCMM was
bisected with monopolar coagulation
including the fascia and the wound was inspected
for remnant of the muscle. The anterior
scalenius muscle was inspected and the clavicle
also.
Routine closure of the
wound and smooth
postoperative recovery
with disappearance of
the torticollis.
Comments
From a small incision the
bisection of the SCMM muscle can be performed,
including the fascia. This procedure is
effective and could give excellent result for
the patient during the last 4 years for the
contra-lateral side.
Notice: Not all operative activities
can be recorded due to lack of time.
Notice: Head injuries and very urgent surgeries are also
escaped from the plan .
