The
patient came
to the clinic 09-October-2010 with history of
left shoulder and neck pain for 20 years. The
condition of the patient deteriorated the last
20 days with numbness III and IV fingers left
hand. |

MRI cervical spine performed
02-October-2010 showing severe stenosis C304,
5-6 and central extrusion of C4-5 and
bulge C6-7. |

On examination: The
patient has pain when moving the head to all
directions. He has profound atrophy of the
interossii muscles left hand. The left upper
limb is weaker than the right with left triceps
muscle 3/5 and extension of the hand 3/5.

MRI was repeated and
performed 11-October-2010 confirming the above
mentioned data. |

The patient had
stent 1998 and new cath done preoperatively to
confirm his fitness for G.A. |
 |
Discectomy of C3-4, 5-6 and C6-7 was performed .
The C4-5 was cleaned meticulously until the dura
was seen all over the field. Using Fidji cages
15X12X5.5 mm was inserted to C3-4 and 17X12X6.1
mm to all other levels with Novabone. Trinica 88
mm length 4 level plate was used to fuse
C3-4-5-6-7 bodies. Check X-rays were performed
at all stages of surgery. |

Routine closure of
the wound and smooth postoperative recovery
and the power of both upper limbs became
stronger. |
