The
patient came
to the clinic 28-October-2010 with history of
neck pain for 2 years. Exacerbation the last 2
weeks with agonizing left shoulder pain down to
the left forearm and cephalic pain, which making
him unable to sleep for several days. |

MRI cervical spine performed
24-October-2010 showing extruded disc C6-7 with
complete occlusion of the left foramen and small
extrusion of C5-6 right side. |

On examination: The
patient has pain when moving the head to all
directions. He has weak grip and extension of
the left hand 4/5 and the left triceps muscle
-3/5. |
 |
Discectomy of C6-7 was performed. The the
posterior longitudinal ligament was removed from
the left side and the extruded disc was
withdrawn in several pieces. Meticulous cleaning
until the dura was seen lax in the left half of
the disc space. |

Routine closure of
the wound and smooth postoperative recovery
and the power of the left upper limb became
stronger. |
