The patient came to the clinic 21-December-2005 complaining of bilateral sciatica down to L5 roots for 1 month. She came with crutches, which are in use for 1 week, with the help of two persons. On examination the SLRS was 80 degrees in the right. She had complete drop feet with weal planterflexion both feet. She had also mild aseptic arthritis both knees. MRI of the lumbar spine requested and showed severe lumbar canal stenosis L3-4 and L4-5. The patient underwent surgery: laminectomy of L4, partially of L3 and L5 was performed with bilateral foraminotomy of both L4 and L5 roots. Immediate postoperative course was uneventful and the planterflexion improved, but the drop feet still having place.
